Vintage Peter Rabbit 10 piece children's tea set for two in original box
This little tea set is just the right size for children. The set contains:
A Teapot with Lid
Height: 3 inches without lid, about 4 1/2" with lid
The teapot features a picture on one side of Mother Rabbit giving Peter's sisters their baskets, in order to go down the lane to gather blackberries. Peter already has on his blue coat but takes no basket; on the other side, a picture of Mrs. Rabbit buttoning up Peter's coat as his 3 sisters walk along the path. Around the lid, text from the story: "Now run along, and don't get into mischief. I am going out." Teapot lid has a lip to keep it from slipping off when pouring.
Open sugar bowl
Height: 2 1/2"
Picture on one side is of Peter looking back; picture on the opposite side is of Peter hiding in the watering can. Around the top, text from the story: "Peter sat down to rest; he was very damp with sitting in that can."
Creamer/milk jug
Height: 2 1/2"; 4 ounce
Picture on one side is of Mr. McGregor, rake in hand, chasing Peter; on the other side, Peter in his blue coat, running. Around the top, text from the story: "he jumped up and ran after Peter,".
(2) teacups
Height 1 3/4", 2" in diameter
Featuring a picture of Peter running on each side
(2) saucers
Height 3 1/4" in diameter
Featuring "Peter never stopped running or looked behind him till he got home to the big fir-tree.--" around the top of the plate.
(2) plates
Height 4 1/4" in diameter
Featuring Mrs. Rabbit helping Peter put on his blue coat and the words "Once Upon a Time there were four little Rabbits," around the top of the plate.
All are backstamped by Warne and Co, the original publishers and holders of the copyright to Beatrix Potter's books; also by Wedgwood of Etruria & Barlaston, made in England. The teapot is also labeled "Peter Rabbit".

Perceived variations in color are due to lighting.
This set is in great used condition. Box and inside styrafoam are original packaging and in great used condition. No tears or holes. Dish set has no chips or cracks.
