Used. Vintage. Plays a melody when the lid is removed. Be sure to review the entire listing. Please see the photographs and evaluate to your standards. This box is sold in “as found” condition – no idea how to clean aluminum(?). Box is metal: pale lavender or pink hue coupled with gold accents. Rhinestones and pearls (most likely costume or cultured) compose the interior of the heart atop the lid. Look hard: one rhinestone is missing and there is a little surface wear to at least one pearl. Musical tune is familiar but no idea of its title (maybe: Mary had a Little Lamb). Music box winder is on the base (see photograph 3). Winder is sturdy and working well. Music stopper is the thin wire near the top of the box (see photograph 11) that is activated when the lid is replaced thus halting the melody. Base of the box has three (3) metal balls to serve as feet. The balls have some wear but are sturdy and functional. Geometric design etched into the surface.
