VTG Kodak Carousel 650H Slide Projector Remote Tested Works Doesn't Advance

Vintage Kodak Model 650H Carousel Slide Projector. Comes with original remote and instruction manual
Great cosmetic/outside condition, previous owner kept good care of it.
Bought this at a local thrift shop for my father to view some slides he had. Turns on, displays slides on the wall. Beautiful picture quality. The carousel 'advance/rotate' feature unfortunately does not work. Seems like something is stuck or jammed. Remote in great condition, but due to the carousel being unable to move I can't say for sure if the remote works.
Don't want to go through a headache of trying to fix it. I did not open it up, but from my research it's possible that a wire has become unattached or the direction lever is stuck.
No returns on this sale. Thanks for understanding.
