Vintage Miniature Face Powder and Miniature Pond's Rouge round box w/hinged lid

I don't know if these are from the 40s or the 50s. We're going to have to go with Mid-Century.
It does not seem possible that either was meant for anything but a doll accessory, but I've learned that they were indeed for adult women to carry in their small handbags.
The Pond's thing is marked "PACKED BY POND'S EXTRACT CO. NEW YORK, N.Y.  Made in U.S.A." It is a metal, goldtone container that now has some spots where the goldtone is gone or discolored. It doesn't appear that anything has ever been in this container, but I'm told that there was rouge. My friend remembers it, and it belonged to her grandmother.
The powder box has the same design as Coty's Airspun powder, except the background is pink on this one, and is never pink on any of the others that you can find online (usually gold). The powder comes, sealed under plastic in the bottom of the little round box. I managed to accidentally poke a hole in that plastic while trying to figure out what was under the plastic. I never dreamed it would be powder after all these years. The box is in remarkably good shape although it is made of plastic and cardboard (I think. Pretty sure.) There is no powder puff in it, but it could certainly use one.
There is nothing on the internet or on eBay like these 2 little cosmetic things. I am still not 100% convinced that they are not doll things and are meant for people. And if they're doll things, what doll are they for? I'm pretty sure they were tiny things for real people who had small handbags and small fingers.
