Vintage mid century nautical Mile-o-graph for marine charts mileage plastic box

Lots more fine vintage jewelry, fabric, antiques, paper collectibles and much more being listed this week from another amazing estate acquisition!
Here is a vintage nautical instrument that measures mileage, in the original box.  Box measures 7 1/4" long.  Instrument itself is red plastic or bakelite with a yellow tip as you can see. Has 'Made in U.S.A.' along the side with a patent number. Not sure how it works, but there's a metal wheel at one end and you can see the number gauge along the side.  Box shows slight wear on the top, but box and instrument are in great condition!  Much better than shown!  Free shipping anywhere in the U.S. Happy to ship internationally!
