This piece is rather neat. Its a large magnifying glass of unknown origin.
Not entirely sure on it's exact purpose, but it looks to Possibly be a condenser lens was either for ship chart reading and has lost its base or it is an old projector lens
The lower inner rings has threading, suggesting it screwed on,
Measures approx. 2.75" by 2.75" by 1.5"
Condition:
Fair overall condition. Moderate oxidation and dust from age/storage. Mild scratching on the lens and metal. threading looks to be in OK shape.
