Vintage Grantcrest Miniature Tea Set, Japan

Description

This charming mid-20th century miniature tea set was manufactured by Grantcrest of Japan.
These lovely place settings, with a pattern of pink and black stars and silver trim, would make for an imaginative children's tea party worthy of Wonderland.
The 25 piece set includes the following:
6 tea cups
6 saucers
6 plates
1 teapot with lid
1 sugar bowl with lid
1 creamer
1 salt shaker
1 pepper shaker
1 oval serving platter
1 round serving platter
One cup has a small chip (a few more might be found upon close inspection), and some pieces have minor spots of discoloration consistent with the manufacture and age of the china.
The teapot measures 5.5" tall by 4" long and 2.75" wide. The diameter of the rims of the tea cups is 3 inches, and all other pieces are to scale. Please see photos for more details.
