Description
You are getting a rare vintage 1930’s Frosted Glass Ballerina Lady Talc Powder Box. Produced during the Depression by Milton Sierad of New York, this powder jar figurine is pictured in Margaret Witmyer's bedroom and bathroom glassware book. The jar is made of heavy clear frosted translucent glass and depicts the figure of a ballerina with her hands crossed on her chest. Dimensions are 8 1/2 " high and 4 1/2” at the widest part. The bottom half of the jar is her skirt, legs and feet. This piece has very graceful art deco lines throughout and the glass is beautifully molded so that even the curved line of her back and short bobbed haircut are evident. Condition is "Used" but good for the age of the piece. There is one chip at the base of the top on the front left side, and several minor chips at the base of the top on the back side. There is a minor chip on the inside rim of the bottom. Please see all photos for detail as they are to be considered part of the description. In spite of the few flaws she is still very delightful and a great collector's piece. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
