Toledo Shipbuilding Ship Steam Engine Revolution Gauge Marsh Boat, Steamship Tug

This is an very rare antique Toledo Shipbuilding Co Inc of Toledo Ohio Jas P Marsh corporation Chicago Revolution gauge.  This gauge is very large and heavy.  It is brass and measures 9 1/2 inches across the bezel and weighs over 13 pounds.  It works great.  As you can see, it only has 26 revolutions counted on it.  It had 23 when I purchased it, and I turned it 3 more times to be sure it worked properly.  Inside the face on the back it has some writing, though most of it I cannot read. I tried to take a photo, but it did not come out very well.   I see the words Chicago USA and a date of 1 15 1943 or it appears to be that.  This would make it World War II Era, though I have no history on it.  There is another stamping on it as well, but it is hard to read.

This is certainly a rare find, being an antique maritime revolution counter that has only 26 revolutions on it and of the WWII era based on the date stamped inside.  It may possibly be even older than that.
It would be great for display in a maritime collection as a museum piece, or to use on a steam ship, tugboat or tug, riverboat paddle wheeler, steamship, steamboat, etc.
