    Description

Silvertone Cornet Small Bore Germany - Nickle Silver Slides - Case & Bach 7C MP Bore: .432 - Serial# NONE
This German built Silvertone (from the 1940's most likely) is equipped with nickle slides and is in good overall condition. Lacquer is at 60% showing general signs of wear, the lower tube of the tuning slide was stuck and required solder work after removal to reassemble, a prior owner had used a cable to try and pull the slide and put a mark on the lower section of the tuning slide, I did expand it as much as possible and the horn plays very well. This small bore plays tight but with a nice open tone, it's very easy to get into the high register as well. Valves and caps are in excellent condition and slides are smooth, the last couple millimeters when inserting the tuning slide is a little tight on the bottom tube. This horn seems to be a post war horn before Sears Roebuck & CO. started to use Blessing for their Silvertone line and plays much better than expected. Original case with pamphlet, lyre, key and a Bach 7C mouthpiece are included.
