MICROMETER SEXTANT BY C PLATH Information off the net::::::(Deemed to be the best or one of the best in the Sextant  industry)
Made in Hamburg West Germany
Circa 1960's 1970's Sextant - Attest / Certificate. October, 10 1968.
Has original hard case, 6x30 scope (may work and may not, I don't know how to use it). Untested and battery compartment is empty and very clean,,
Selling what you see  as is as received. He kept it clean as was always stored in the original C.Plath carry case. He is still looking for the key. I will check with him next week before the auction ends and see if he finds it and will revise the description.
Serial # 51787
Was purchased from the original owner a crew member who served on the S.S. Colorado. It comes with his  certificate of registration for personal effects taken aboard.
Still in very nice used condition for it's age..
Rare to see proof of the original owner and history of such a awesome cool piece of history. He was excited to talk about it today when we purchased it!!! We thanked him for his service!!!
