Product Description
Offered for sale is a the Pilot Namiki Gosyoguruma Maki-e Fountain Pen (commonly known as "the wedding pen") by master artist Kyusai Yoshida.  This was the special limited edition maki-e fountain pen released in 1993 to commemorate the marriage of Prince Hironomiya Naruhito with Princess Masako in June 1993. Gosyoguruma is an old decorated cow cart for the Imperial family in Heiankyo (c. 794-1192). The pen is Yukari sized and is painted with gold cherry blossoms finely spread over the cap and barrel. Only 1000 pieces were produced.
This pen is mint in the box. Comes with the original boxes and papers as shown below. Boxes have some blemishes after years of storage. Never been used, inked nor dipped.  This pen also comes with a 18k Medium nib. A truly collectible piece of art.
