Marking Pilot Corporation's 85th Anniversary, this pen, executed in sterling silver with specks of gold and abalone shell, honors the 8th century East Pagoda of the ancient Yakushi-ji temple. A water-flame cloud (suien) envelopes three celestial beings, with a flute-paying hiten on the barrel. It features arabesque design derived from the temple pedestals.
The shape of the pen is so-called vest type, the top and the bottom is both flat and the shape is cylindrical, resembles that of the Pilot 70th Anniversary pen. The pen is finished at both ends with shimmering nashiji.
5 3/8” (13.7 cm).
Medium 18 K rhodium covered nib with 85th Anniversary markings.
Presented in original packaging with papers and specific ink well.
