NC Nor-Cal Products Model 930104-3 Cold Trap?
For sale- an NC Nor-Cal Products Model 930104-3.
Nor-Cal makes specialty high vacuum fittings, and it would appear that they have been bought out by Pfeiffer, but you already knew that.
Does not appear to be a current NC product as the model number brings up nothing.
I have two of these available with sequential serial numbers, price is for ONE.
They were removed from the top of a Bio-Rad FTIR Spectrometer, an FTS-60V.
The spectrometer was purchased by an international buyer that had me ship them some parts rather than the whole thing to cut down on the shipping costs involved.
IF I had to guess I would say this is some sort of cold trap?
I have not opened it up but I suppose I could.
I would guess maybe liquid nitrogen would be added through the spout on top, and the other fitting is where your vacuum pump would attach?
Pure speculation on my part, if you know what this model is I would be happy to hear from you.
I suspect the base plate is something added to fit the Bio-Rad application, so it is possible the piece has been modified beyond simply welding the base plate (measuring 9 ¾” x 7 ¼”) to it.
