Description
NAMIKI Emperor N°50 Pavilion (Pagoda) Fountain Pen 18K M Kyusai Yoshida w/ 18K #50 Size Medium (M) NibMaki-E Artist: Kyusai Yoshida
Year: circa 1999
The Emperor Collection is Namiki’s highest ranking series.
An outstanding pen of impressive size and appearance, now out of production and becoming scarce, it is one of the most popular of Namiki’s Emperor series.
The pavilion is a place of contemplation sited in the midst of water and mountains, offering a meditative space for poets and priests to compose poems and paintings and carry out tea rituals. Here depicted in spring with a blossoming cherry tree.
Emperor-sized charcoal burnished shishiai togidashi maki-e barrel and cap decorated with a pavilion with a blossoming cherry tree beside it, amongst a mountainous landscape.
This pen is out of production and has become quite uncommon.
Signed by the artist. This pen employs an eyedropper filling system.
A traditional oriental wood gift box with outer box, paper and pipette completes the stunning presentation.
