Description
The MFM SubSeal-40 is a self-adhering, 40 mil, waterproofing membrane that is composed of a polymer film with a layer of specially formulated, rubberized, asphalt adhesive that is suitable for use on siding and exterior plaster. This combines strength and flexibility to create an ideal sealing foundation for walls, exterior walls, through-wall flashings, around doors and windows, underneath stucco, plaster and masonry, planters, pot shelves, and as a flashing material.SubSeal 40 has a broad temperature range allowing installation in cold weather and can adhere to most clean, dry surfaces including metal, wood vinyl, masonry, ICF foundations, Gold Bond, and rigid insulation boards. It is easy to cut Subseal to shape using scissors or a sharp knife if an alteration in the size of the membrane is needed. For the best adhesion, SubSeal can be applied by rolling the entire surface with a hand roller while focusing attention, particularly on seams. This particular membrane must be covered within 90 days of application. MFM backs SubSeal 60 with a 10-year limited warranty.
