    Description

QRS Player Piano Word Roll #1440 "Heaven's Artillery" March, Non-Matching  Box.  Words copyrighted QRS Music Co. 1921
Box is for the piano roll "Collegiate" from Shapiro, Bernstein & Co., Inc., 1925.  This very old piano roll is in very good condition.  The attachment hook is intact and secure.  There is a 1 1/2" tear at the beginning which can easily be taped.  Since this is a very old roll I completely unfurled the roll to inspect for damage.  Most of the roll is in excellent condition.  There are a few small areas of ripples/tears but nothing major and I feel the roll is playable.  The box is for the piano roll "Collegiate" from Shapiro, Bernstein & Co., Inc., 1925.  Most of the box is in good condition.  The front has small tears on all sides because it has a drop-mouth opening instead of a top and bottom.  Metal ends.
QRS Player Piano Word Roll #2997, "How Do You Do?", Signed, In Original Box.  Fox Trot.  Played by "Pep" Doyle.  Fleming-Harrison-DeVoll.  Copyright Ted Browne Music Co., Inc. 1924.  Metal ends, not plastic.  Drop down front opening.  This very old piano roll is in excellent condition.  Attachment hook is intact and secure.  Since this is an older roll, I unfurled it completely to inspect for damage.  One side is in excellent condition; the other side is mostly in great condition, too, except for 2 areas with slightly torn edges.  Original box is in fair condition.
Vintage Player Piano Roll in 88 Note #81419 "Nearer My God to Thee" Box.  Roll has metal ends.  This very old player piano roll is mostly in excellent condition.  Since it is so old, I completely unfurled the roll to inspect for any damage.  The attachment hook is intact.  The beginning of the roll is very discolored, wrinkled, has a 1 1/4" tear and has extra tape on it.  TITLE IS NOT VISIBLE.  Some roughness at the beginning and a couple of tears but the majority of the roll is in excellent condition.  I don't know if the box is a matching box.  It shows wear but is very sturdy.
NOTE:  Since this is not a word roll and I no longer have a player piano I cannot guarantee the roll is "Nearer My God to Thee".  Hopefully, the box and roll match.
    Selling as described.
