    Description

Green Satin Glass "Lovebirds" Powder Jar - GLOWS UNDER UV LIGHT - Possibly L.E. Smith
Up for auction from the 1930s an Art Deco powder jar in the very desirable "Lovebirds" style.
It is frosted satin etched green glass that glows brightly under UV light.  It may be made by L.E. Smith or possibly Jeanette Glass, but I cannot guarantee that.
It measures approximately 4.5" tall x 4.5" wide.
There is some roughness and a few tiny chips around the inside mouth of the base (not visible when lid is in place) but see pics for detail.    This glows beautifully!
This piece is featured in the Whitmyer book "Bedroom and Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Era" on pages 18-19.  I especially love the detail of the birds and the little flowers decorating the lid and the base.
If you collect powder jars or bird-themed glass objects or UV glass, this would be a great addition.
Thanks for looking, and happy collecting!
Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
