Evinrude 8 HP 2-Stroke Short Shaft Pull-Start Tiller Outboard Excellent Runner

Complete running Evinrude 8 HP short shaft motor; model number on tag is E8SRLCRM but appears it underwent a conversion to make it an equivalent of
E8RCRM.
In any event,
it IS a short shaft
as it sits now.  Was in storage for a while; came in on trade. Needed carb cleaning and the recoil starter spring rewound, the cord replaced, and a bit of tinkering here and there but nothing major.  Cosmetically it's fair-to-good for an 80's motor; but the main thing is that it runs well - idles down to a tickover - it refuses to stall with the throttle almost closed. I inspected the impeller and resealed the pump housing; it pumps water like gangbusters. Shifts and idles in gear without a miss. IOW,
it does everything you want a tender or small fishing motor to do except look gorgeous.
A paint job and new decals can take care of that if you're fussy.  It's priced right -
I could sell it for less via local ad media but I have to cover the "pound of flesh" that eBay takes out of a sale so it's about 15% or a hundred bucks more on this board than a similar motor would be on a fee-free site -
do the math!
