    Description

    Nice gimbaled dry card compass in
    brass bowl with original old glass. In wooden case of pine with sliding cover. Made by John Bliss & Co, before 1845. Bliss & Creighton, 42 Fulton Street, New York.
    On the black rose a fine fleur de lis. On the backside of the case in capital letters: J E F F E R S O N
    The inside of the bowl is white with lubber’s line.
