Description
The Davis Mark 15 sextant has the reputation of being on of the most accurate in the entry level navigational instruments. The provide an excellent tool for the navigator just learning celestial navigation skills. It is also used sometimes as a "backup" instrument, and it is said that a "Davis sextant will always get you home". This sextant's home was on sailboats for 30 years, and as a result the case is a slightly discolored. The protective padding inside the case has been replaced recently. The mirrors are in good condition, as are the sun shades for index and horizon. This instrument will provide lots of fun with learning new analog navigational skills, or give a good cost effective backup for other navigation systems.Specifications
