Cleveland Superior Cornet 1967 - Reconditioned - with Case and King Mouthpiece Bore: .456 - Serial# 226***
These are one of my favorite players, right in-line with Olds Ambassadors. Nice rich and open low range, this horn is in very good condition, required some tail work, flair is very nice. Valves feel great with excellent compression. Slides are firm and smooth, 3rd slide is firm and finger ring is locked in place with a broken screw. (I don't have an extractor to get this out). Case is solid but showing wear, horn also comes with a King 7M mouthpiece and a lyre.

Horn is dis-assembled and inspected, soaked in an organic de-greasing solution and scrubbed
Body, valves and components are treated in an organic chem clean with Tesch products (Tesch was recommended to all participants

Hand-lapped valves and chambers (This process can take up to an hour)
Complete detail of all components, hot water scrubbed and prepped for assembly
Valves aligned, pads and springs replaced as needed
Play tested and final inspected before listing for sale
***Clean your instrument regularly (especially lead-pipe and tuning slide) and have a chem-clean or ultrasonic clean done every two years. Vintage cases are all disinfected, cleaned and sanitized but there may be a residual horn smell in any old case.
