Christie & Wilson Scottish Maritime Sextant An iron, brass, glass and mahogany instrument, signed on the brass scale, all intact and clear glass lenses and mirrors. The instrument was manufactured in Scotland. Used, Even patina to sextant, shows signs of use, appears to be in very good condition. Minor wear to case overall, a couple of cracks near hinges, some moth damage to green felt lining inside lid. Two of the lens are cloudy and unusable the other 3 are clear or slightly cloudy. In the lens with cross hairs, the cross hairs are damaged. The filters are dusty but all are usable and the mirror is in good condition with no separation or fungus. The numerals a clear and easy to read. Mechanically the instrument moves easily and seems to be in very good condition. It appears that the instrument used quite often. Please examine photos closely for condition. Measures 8.5 x 4 inches, case 5 x 10.25 x 9.5 inches.
