If you don't intend to pay...DON'T BID!!!!
Only made from '79 to '85.  This is the CLASSIC made of bronze, not brass or aluminum.  It is considered to be the finest sextant ever made.  There are other Navistars for sale, but they are not the equal of this one.  The quick tell is the white knob.
I bought this about 1981.  When Pacific Far East lines went out of business, one of the officers pawned it in San Francisco.  I had recently
bought a cruising yacht.  New wife said sell the yacht, so I never used it, and it's been in the closet ever since. Can hardly remember the wife's name.
any of these with a foam insert had the claw assembly replaced by the owner with foam for a later c plath case.  The only genuine mounting is the claw.
The instrument looks almost brand new except for the scope, which has obviously been to sea.  The scope optics are fine, but some corrosion on the housing.  There are no marks of any kind on the scope. New scopes are pretty cheap, but this functional.
The case is in excellent shape..  I am almost certain that any of these with foam inserts use inserts from later instruments, and are not original.
