Antique Brass Ring Sun Dial,England circa 18th Century

Here we have for sale is an 18th century antique English Brass Ring Dial marked CHA Proctor, of standard format with stamped calendar scales with hour and calendar engravings. This rare sun dial is about 1 3/4" (4.5 cm) in diameter. The outside of the  Ring Dial is engraved: "CHA PROCTOR" and  "I A S O N D" and "I F M A M I. The inside of thx8e Ring Dial is engraved; "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8" and "12" and "1 2 3 4 65 6 7 8".   There is a little r
ing on the outside to attach to the watch fob. The brass ring dial was made in the 18th century by CHARLES H. A. PROCTOR
The uniqueness of this antique, English crafted sun dial is the size which allows the ancient traveler or mariner to determine the time anytime in his travels.
