Coming with a 1/2 cup scoop, this ingredient bin boasts an ample 2.6 gallon capacity and is the perfect addition to restaurant, bakery, cafeteria, and catering kitchens! Its 40 cup capacity can hold 12 lb. of flour or 18 lb. of sugar. Plus, by designating the scoop to one bin, you can help to avoid any cross contamination that may occur when using the same scoop for multiple ingredients. A. No, these lids are not designed to be air-tight. The lid is designed to cover the bin and will snap over the bin's rim to ensure that the lid does not fall off, but this does not create an air-tight seal.
