This is a 1944 dated US Maritime Commission life boat sextant. Most of these that are found are stripped of the accessories. This sextant has all of the accessories to include, dividers, compass dividers, two pencils, eraser, note pad for keeping a diary
.
All of these accessories are in excellent condition. Sextant is Maritime Commission marked and in excellent condition. The tinted filters are  present and in excellent condition. Optics are all excellent. Case shows storage wear but in good used condition.. Top of case boldly reads, “U.S. MARITIME COMMISSION”. Not many of these are found complete and in excellent condition.
