    Description

    as found, patina, dull, scratched, paint ... etc as shown in photos....
    a rare mahogany case, seems to be similar to case for early nineteenth century sextant by Robert Brettell Bate of London.
    Split wood on base, no key, interior fitment partially gone. Closes firmly, solidly constructed and remains so.
