STANDARD NAILING FLANGE
For new construction with stucco, brick, rock, fiber cement siding (Hardie Plank) or wood siding. The vent is installed first and the exterior finish is then installed.

Occasionally a vent is needed without a nailing flange (such as a retrofit into an existing brick or stone opening).  The vent is placed into the opening and fastened with screws or adhesive.
